Dr. Beale began his educational career at Virginia Commonwealth University, after which he attended dental school at the Medical College of Virginia. From there, he entered a general practice residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and practiced as a general dentist for three years. However, the call for oral surgery was too great, so he completed another residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He’s been providing oral surgery services to the people of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake since 1989 and is a member of numerous oral surgery organizations.
Dr. Yeh, a board-certified oral surgeon, attended the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate studies, where he majored in Exercise Science. From there, he went to dental school and decided he wanted to pursue oral surgery upon graduating. The next step in his career was a one-year surgical internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, as well as an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Nova Southeastern University and Broward Health Medical Center. Through this extensive education, Dr. Yeh has treated all kinds of patients with all variety of oral issues.
Dr. Duncan MD, DDS, attended Baylor University for his undergraduate studies before receiving his dental degree from Columbia University. He then completed a 1-year general practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he focused on the care of medically compromised patients and those with special needs. During this time, he developed an interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. While completing a 6-year residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Duncan received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a 1-year general surgery internship.
Dr. Quigg is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Virginia Beach native and a graduate of Cox High School. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Old Dominion University, he graduated from the Medical College of Virginia dental school with honors in 1985, going on to complete a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Medical College of Virginia.
“Dr. Beale was very easy to talk to, and he made me feel very comfortable with every step of the procedure. I’m very happy with the results from my procedures.”
“I went to over 10 doctors and no one ever helped me until I came to Dr. Yeh. I felt like when I spoke, he actually listened to me. I’m not in pain anymore; at all. I feel like I can finally be me.”
“My dentist recommended Frank on this because of the complications. I would definitely refer Dr. Beale to my friends and family, and as a matter of fact, I already have on several occasions.”
“Dr. Yeh was super cool. I felt comfortable around him and he was kinda funny. I’m really happy with the results of my procedure and I’d recommend- I actually already have, and he came in a few weeks after me to get his wisdom teeth done.”
When a patient loses one or more teeth, dental implants are the optimal way to restore functionality and appearance in the mouth. Dental implants are small titanium screws that are surgically placed inside the jaw. After a few months, bone begins to grow around these implants, securing them in place and making them a solid base for attaching a replacement tooth. The benefits of dental implants are numerous, as they preserve the jawbone to prevent changes to the facial profile, have extremely high success rates, and provide a secure and lasting fit in the mouth.
If Virginia Beach and Chesapeake area patients are thinking about dental implants but don’t have enough density in the jawbone to support an implant, bone grafting is an essential tool for correcting the problem. With bone grafting, our doctors will take a sample of bone from another part of the body, a donor body, or a synthetic compound and place it inside the jaw. Over the period of a few months, this stimulates the jaw to produce more tissue, creating a strong and stable base for the insertion of the implants.
As a person reaches young adulthood, their wisdom teeth may begin to emerge, causing pain, infection, and headaches. In many cases, this is because the teeth don’t have enough room to emerge fully, pressing on nearby teeth and sticking out of the gums just enough that they’re vulnerable to decay. In some cases, wisdom teeth are impacted, meaning that they try to emerge at an angle or are completely sideways. The optimal way to alleviate these symptoms is with wisdom teeth removal, an oral surgery that gives your smile enough room to be healthy and comfortable.
The staff was friendly and professional. I was seen promptly and given explanations for my procedure of the extraction and implant of my tooth. Dr Frank Yeh performed the procedure with great precision and care… I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing their excellent services.

Both of my adult sons had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Beale. Dr. Beale skillfully removed their wisdom teeth. The icing on the cake was that on both occasions, Dr. Beale called them that evening to see how they were doing. Talk about going the extra mile. 5 Stars – I highly recommend Dr. Beale.

Dr Yeh and his staff are absolutely the best out there! I am terrified of dental appts and I’ve had to have 2 extractions done by Dr Yeh, he was so amazing and gentle! The women on his team are just as awesome and super sweet! I will always recommend this office to anyone needing work done that he specializes in.
